With a little help from our friends

The most astounding thing to me about traveling has been the number of kind, generous, interesting people we have met. People who cook us food, help us out when we are lost, sleep on their couches so we can sleep in their beds, go out of their way to show us around, buy us beers and give us books. Some of these people are our friends, some are friends of friends, but we've also met a menagerie of strangers who have been just as nice. New England and the Midwest are filled with great folks. Pictured below is our boyfriend, Tom. He crashed on his couch and loaned us the comfiest bed in the United States. (He's single, ladies.)
