The Windy City

They really weren't kidding when they came up with the nickname, The Windy City. After an 18 mile bike ride, we turned ourselves around to head home (for another 18 miles) and ran smack dab into a wall of wind. Pedaling was impossible. Imagine biking through a beach of sand and then add twenty mile an hour winds. There are restaurants everywhere you turn. There are cars, cabs, and buses behind your back, but we have had a lot of fun following our tour guide, April around on bikes. Last night we biked to the hip part of town slugging pizza and drinking beer. After we ate the entire large baking sheet sized pizza we hopped out of the joint and high-tailed it home, riding over separated streets grafted with mismatched pieces of asphalt. Today we are going to explore a different neighborhood and tomorrow we will tackle Pride.
